Donna - as far as 2 pieces of paper, I did try that.  The pinwheel is a little thicker and heavier that way and when I turned it the pinwheel part keep flying off.  If you don&#039;t need the pinwheel to actually turn then it will work great.  Or you might could try a longer thumbtack.  Let me know if you get it to work.</description>
